Getty Images Mary J.Blige announces all woman festival and summit Iconic singer Mary J.Blige has made a major announcement that she will be launching her all women festival. The name of her festival is called Strength Of A Woman Festival and Summit, which will be held in Atlanta, Ga and will take place Mother's Day Weekend May 6th-8th. Grammy award winning and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alum Chaka Khan will be performing as well as Xscape, Kierra Sheard, Ella Mai, and City Girls to name a few. Blige stated why she chose Atlanta for her festival and summit “Atlanta has been doing this for a while. It’s a big Black entertainment hub. If we’re doing it for the culture and we’re doing it for us, do it there,” Blige said. “Atlanta was always the most fun place to party and still is for me. I remember Jack the Rapper, and don’t get me started on Freaknik.” Strength of a Woman festival and summit will also have seminars on women empowerment, financial literacy, health and wellnes, music and various other subjects.
