Detroit’s finest Slum Village are gearing up for a summer release with their single “Expressive,” a groovy ode to the ladies with guest feature verses from BJ The Chicago Kid and Illa J. The second release off their upcoming album, Yes!, “Expressive” is a bass heavy J Dilla beat to keep the Slum Village vibe on point.
J Dilla’s production will serve as the backbone for the new album, with guest appearances from De La Soul, Jon Connor, A Tribe Called Quest’s Phife Dawg, Black Milk, and Bilal.
Album Release Date is June 16th
