Uncle Face is hitting the road
Hip Hop legend Scarface also known as Uncle Face seems to put up the microphone for good after being in the industry for nearly 40 years. The Houston native will be hitting the road this summer in support of his final tour aptly-titled the Farewell Tour.
The Farewell Tour will span 32 cities in the U.S. and will kickoff on July 8th in Oakland, CA and will make stops in cities such as New York, Dallas, Seattle to name a few before wrapping up in Odessa, TX on August 27th. Scarface will be joined by his band Formaldehyde Funkmen, where he’ll perform some of his classic hits “My Mind Playing Tricks on Me,” “My Block,” and “Guess Who’s Back.” Scarface will also do a meet & greet for VIP ticket holders, where fans will be able to take photos and hangout with him, they also will receive a a limited edition ‘Face Mob’ commemorative baseball jersey.

The Geto Boys frontman has had a bout with some health issues in recent years, where he was diagnosed with COVID-19. The virus was so severe that it led to some serious organ failure, where it affected his kidneys which required him to get a kidney transplant. After a year of being on dialysis Face’s son Chris was a match to give him a kidney and last September the kidney transplant surgery happened. And now it seems that he is at full strength and is ready to hit the road.
