Actress Marion Ramey of the 1980’s Police Academy franchise has passed away at the age of 73. Ramsey maybe known for her roles on the silver screen, however she got her start on Broadway in 1964 the play “Hello Dolly” and in the 70’s in “Miss Moffat.”
She broke onto the scene on small screen on the ABC network in the variety show “Keep On Truckin'” and was a regular on the show “Cos.”
In 1984 Ramsey got her big break that would be one of the many highlights of her career when took the role as Officer Hooks in the Police Academy franchise. She appeared in other shows such as “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “MacGyver,” while voicing D.I. Holler in the d “The Addams Family” from 1992 to 1993.
Ramsey continued to work as an actor well in the 2010’s when reconnected with fellow Police Academy actor Steve Guttenburg for “Lavalantula” (2015) and “2 Lava 2 Lantula!” (2016). Her final acting credit came in 2018’s “When I Sing,” a movie about a woman that was in the music industry. Marion Ramsey fell ill but the cause has not been revealed she is survived by her three brothers.
