Outkast Celebrates Stankonia 20th Anniversary w/ Deluxe Edition of Rare Remixes

Big Boi to be executive producer of new crime drama

Legendary Hip Hop group Outkast will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 4th studio album Stankonia with rare remixes and instrumentals.

October 31st will mark the 20th anniversary of Stankonia, so the Atlanta duo decided to release a bundle of a capella, instrumentals, and remixes of songs from the album.  The six bonus tracks will include “Ms.Jackson” (Mr.Drunk remix), Stankonia Remix of “So Fresh, So Clean” featuring Snoop Dogg

and Sleepy Brown, and the  “B.O.B. (Bombs Over Baghdad)” bundle features three previously unreleased remixes from Cutmaster Swiff, Rage Against The Machine’s Zack de la Rocha and Beat Bullies.

Stankonia sold over 530,000 copies in its first week earning Andre 3000 and Big Boi a Grammy for Best Rap album and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “Ms.Jackson.” The Stankonia 20th anniversary special edition will be available on all streaming platforms October 30th.

will be executive producer of a new Hip Hop crime drama titled Government Records. The series will be based on a 90’s Hip Hop artist who runs a crime syndicate and two ATF agents go undercover as music moguls who team up with Atlanta law enforcement and FBi agents who try to take down his crime ring.

The show will be filmed in Atlanta and will have appearances from Hip Hop royalty such as Pepa from Salt N Pepa, DMX, Rakim, And Dougie Fresh, and Big Boi will appear in the first season as well. Currently Government Records is being pitched to all the major networks and streaming services.
