FS1’s television show Speak for Yourself, co-host Jason Whitlock is a 20 year veteran journalist. His skin maybe black but he is not in his soul or spirit. Jason Whitlock has a history of making disaparing remarks about African Americans.

In 2007, when radio host Don Imus caused a stir by calling the Rutgers female basketball team “nappy-headed hoes,” Whitlock made his own headlines by using the occasion not to condemn Imus, but to call out hip-hop for creating a world where young blacks are “perverted, corrupted, and overtaken by prison culture.”

Whitlock called tennis great Serena Williams a under achiever and shamed her body image in 2009 after she won Wimbledon.

This guy has a history of not getting along with other journalist from different networks such as ESPN. Let’s just focus on the last two weeks, if you are interested in knowing more about Whitlock’s past remarks Google them.

Last week The Breakfast Club radio host Charlamagne Tha God deemed the dishonor of Donkey of the Day onto Jason Whitlock after Whitlock defended radio host Kristine Leahy against LaVar Ball.

eahy and Ball got into it on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” after he took issue with her criticizing his parenting skills, ultimately leading Leahy to question if Ball was threatening her.

Charlamagne initially deemed Leahy the Donkey of the Day and said she played into the “classic age-old example of a white woman demonizing a Black man, and it was that type of demonizing that led to Emmitt Till getting killed.” On “The Herd” Thursday, May 18, Whitlock called the analogy “foolish” and felt LaVar was being “inappropriate” while Leahy “appropriately and professionally pushed back.”

Just recently one day before the 2017 NBA Finals was set to begin LeBron James home was vandalized with the word Nigger spray painted on his front gate.

James spoke about the incident Wednesday, and brought up the story of Emmett Till’s mother choosing an open-casket funeral for her son after he was disfigured and lynched, to show what it was like to be black in America. James said:

Racism will always be a part of the world, a part of America. Hate in America, especially for African-Americans, is living every day. Even though that it’s concealed most of the time.

No matter how much money you have, no matter how famous you are, no matter how many people admire you, being black in America is tough.

Of course Whitlock took issue with the Emmett Till statement, “LeBron needs to quit embracing his victimhood because he’s not a victim, and it’s a terrible message for black people,” Whitlock said.

“This is not racism, but a inconvenience”. Whitlock also talked about how he, like James, Oprah Winfrey, and other rich black people, should suck it up because racism shouldn’t matter to them.

Jason Whitlock you are a idiot. Racism affects poor and rich people of color, racist judge you on your skin color, not how much money is in your bank account.

If anything a racist will harbor more hatred towards someone with deeper pockets because they feel you have not rightfully earned it or deserve it.

Jason Whitlock you are a disappointment because you are in a position to use your national platform to uplift African American culture and achievements, but instead you degrade us.

Being a journalist the tool used called a pen is a powerful instrument and should used wisely. You may not always agree on how others view a situation but to totally disregard victims of racist taunts and stereotypes is irresponsible.

You have a duty as a black man to represent us in a positive light and you have failed time and time again. With that being said you have won “The Coon of The Year Award”.
