MF DOOM Releases The Dark Alchemist-Produced Original Mix Of ‘Doomsayer’

Today MF DOOM released the next installment in his Adult Swim singles series, a hard knuckle 2-minute solo over a wicked Alchemist production. This is the third single off The Missing Notebook Rhymes. He goes in on the track, the production is very dark. Word is the release is more than likely the original mix of a 2012 Soundcloud leak that was originally tagged “Young Guru Remix.”

The Missing Notebook Rhymes comprises of 15 new songs in 15 weeks via Adult Swim.

The first record from the album was a collaborative cut with the late Sean Price, followed by DOOM shocked the rap world by announcing a new KMD album called Crack in Time a releasing a single off the album, “True Lightyears,” featuring New Orleans native Jay Electronica.

The gritty rapper has over 25 years in the game, so with the volume of material he is releasing, it is probably been in the vault. Timing is everything, so now may have been the right time release the this.

This project will mark DOOM’s first album since a collaborative project with Bishop Nehru in 2014.

In a interview with XXL magazine Jason DeMarco, the senior vice president and creative director of Adult Swim, about how he managed to secure 15 exclusive, unreleased DOOM records. Their relationship goes back to the 2005 Danger Doom album.

These new tracks my be some of MF DOOM’s best work in a while, but his catalog is so extensive. I am sure he has plenty more locked up in the vault. I can’t wait.
