One of the most creative mixtape producers of our time J. Period just dropped a gem single; “In The Ghetto (Wake Up)” featuring Rakim, Black Thought and singer John Legend.
According to HipHopDx J. Period will be unlocking a vault of music ahead of his forthcoming album. The song takes hip hop back to the roots with two legendary emcees on wax together for the first time with soulful John Legend putting the finishing touches on the track. The track is an homage to the Eric B. & Rakim classic “In The Ghetto”
