The Grammy Awards aired yesterday and is anything short of spectacular with surprise winners, amazing performances, and unforgettable speeches. Kendrick Lamar who led all nominees with 11 Grammy nods, K.Dot won for Best Rap Album and he gave arousing performance of “Alright” off his sophomore album “To Pimp A Butterfly.”
Taylor Swift won Album of the Year for “1989” on winning the award she took time to address Kanye West on him referencing her on his T.L.O.P album, but she didn’t mention him by name but it was clearly directed at him.
“There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your fame,” the singer told the awards show audience, “but if you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there.”
