The Atlanta Jazz Festival 2017 lineup was announced today at Atlanta City Hall. This year will mark the 40th Anniversary for the Memorial Day weekend festival.

The free, annual gathering in Piedmont Park will take place May 26-28. To commemorate the milestone anniversary, this year will also feature 40 Days of Jazz (leading up to the Memorial Day festival. Music and activities launch April 21 with an art gallery opening at Arnika Dawkins Gallery.

The main headliners for this year’s festival will feature, The Robert Glasper Experiment, Macy Gray, and Freddy Cole, along with a host of other great artist.

a 40th anniversary coffee table book – a photo compilation of the history of the festival – has been produced by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and can be purchased for $65.

In 2016, the Atlanta Jazz Festival had 150,000 attendees and a $15.5 million total economic impact.
