Actor Tommy Ford has died at the age of 52 after being taken off life support at an Atlanta hospital Wednesday afternoon, TMZ reports. Ford was on life support after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen. Ford was best known for his role as Tommy on the 90's hit sitcom Fox comedy \u201cMartin\u201d and the UPN sitcom "The Parkers". Ford\u2019s rep released a statement on behalf of his family confirming his passing, which read: \u201cIt is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Son, father, brother, husband, and friend Tommy Mykhal Ford.\u201d A Los Angeles native, Ford\u2019s other credits included the Fox 1990s drama \u201cNew York Undercover,\u201d the 1990 CBS sitcom \u201cUncle Buck,\u201d and NBC\u2019s short-lived \u201cSinger & Sons\u201d from the same year. His television resume include Law & Order\u201d and \u201cMacGyver\u201d to \u201cJudging Amy\u201d, \u201cHouse\u201d and slew of guest appearance and supporting roles. His film credits included 1989\u2019s \u201cHarlem Nights,\u201d 1992\u2019s \u201cClass Act,\u201d and 1997\u2019s \u201cAgainst the Law.\u201d Ford will always be known for his role as Tommy On \u201cMartin,\u201d Ford played lead character Martin Lawrence's best friend in the sitcom. He was nominated for an NAACP Image Award in 1996 for his work on \u201cMartin,\u201d which ran from 1992-97.
