Trayvon Martin was murdered six years ago in Sanford, Fl by George Zimmerman while visiting family members. This unfortunate event would cause a lot of controversy because George Zimmerman was found not guilty on killing an unarmed innocent teenage young man because of Florida’s stand your ground law. Even though it was documented that the 911 operator told Zimmerman not pursue Trayvon Martin.
So RocNation frontman and legendary MC Jay-Z connected with the Paramount network is producing a docuseries on Trayvon Martin titled Rest In Power:The Trayvon Martin Story. Paramount released the trailer on the six-year anniversary of Trayvon being fatally shot. The docuseries will not deal with just his murder, but the criminal justice system in America, and how race power money, and politics come into play as well. he six part docuseries is based on the book Martin’s parents co-wrote: Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin.
